Pittsford Fine Art’s August Featured Artist: Gallery Founder Chris Manaseri

Manaseri is the gallery’s featured artist for August, showcasing his work in the inviting space he, his wife, and his fellow artists opened to the public in January 2020 and have run since as a home to some of the region’s most accomplished painters. Manaseri works mainly in watercolors painted outdoors — en plein air, as it’s called — featuring “the beauty in simple, common objects and scenes,” many from the rural countryside and lakeshore near his home in Kent, Orleans County.

“I paint what I see, in the hope that others may find the same beauty in those images that I do,” he said.

Pittsford Fine Art is open Tuesday through Thursday, noon to 5 p.m.; Friday, noon to 8 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parking is available in front of the gallery at 4 North Main Street, or at the nearby public parking lot.
