The Slow TV Crafting Cycle Artist Talk and Land Form
Visual Studies Workshop
31 Prince St.
Mar 3, 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us at 5:30 for a talk with Project Space resident Andrew Salomone. Then check out Land Form in the Gallery. Crafty hobbies have become a popular form of stress relief from the pressures of being perpetually plugged in. Netflix even picked up Norwegian “Slow TV,” featuring live videos of people knitting, to give viewers a calming fix. During his time in the Project Space, Andrew Salomone is developing and documenting handmade costumes that he calls “social media hazmat suits,” as well as puppets that explore our dynamic relationship with technology through traditional craft processes.
