NEWS: In the first 6 days of March this site had over 9,000 hits!

First Friday is a collaboration between non-profit, university, and commercial art venues in Rochester, NY. This initiative will showcase area artists and arts institutions by designating the First Friday evening of each month 6-9pm as a community night for experiencing art. First Friday will ensure a healthy art scene and a healthy city by encouraging regular exchange and discussion between venues, artists and patrons. First Friday was initiated by Rochester Contemporary Art Center.

Shuttle: Shuttle Buses will not be available May 2.

First Friday Shuttles for February and April were sponsored by The East End Business Association and Rochester Contemporary Art Center.

February 1 12 opening receptions and art events. 4 shuttle buses circulated between participating venues.
January 4 events include an exhibition preview, exhibition closing, a poetry reading and live music at several venues.
December 7 at least 20 venues including a poetry reading and live music.
November 2 at least 14 venues, 3 buses circulate between all participating venues.
October 5 events included the arrival of the Art Bus delivering art tourists from Syracuse.
