Rich Della Costa began to make box constructions and shadow boxes in the 90s, with an emphasis more recently on collage. His work is largely narrative, using found objects, materials, and images that are reused and combined to establish a separate aesthetic. He likes to work out a general theme for each piece, a way for him to comment on current events, memories of the past, and concerns that he has about life in general.
