This show is a selection of Rochester artist John Kastner’s work.

“Using cartoon images, colors and forms, my work has evolved into surreal dreamscapes that reveal new worlds of wonder, terror and absurdity. Good and evil mix freely together reflecting the reality that human civilization has created for itself. One can only laugh and hope. My work is an amalgam of influences from Hieronymus Bosch and Salvatore Dali to Dr. Seuss, Walt Disney and R. Crumb. I am deeply grateful to all those who came before and left the treasure of their lives and imaginations behind them for the rest of us to learn from.” -John Kastner
