Featuring talented local photographer and Image City partner, Sheridan Vincent, at Image City Photography Gallery.

This First Friday, you will step into a visual journey through Rochester and its surrounding landscapes in Rochester Out and About, a compelling new exhibit by Sheridan Vincent. A long-time partner at Image City Photography Gallery, Sheridan brings over two decades of photographic exploration to this collection—an homage to the city’s enduring architecture, seasonal rhythms, and the quiet presence of its trees.

From the stately facades of downtown to the winding paths of Highland Park and the dramatic vistas of Letchworth, the exhibit traces a Rochesterian’s eye across time and terrain. Many of the images center on trees—solitary sentinels, clustered groves, or natural frames for the built environment—captured in varied light and weather, often in locations revisited over years.

Visitors may recognize Sheridan’s work from State Street, a series of 21 large-scale photographs displayed at The Mall at Greece Ridge, including his six mural-sized pieces. This exhibit builds on that legacy, offering a more intimate and contemplative view of the region.

Presented in a newly developed style that enhances both detail and mood, Rochester Out and About invites viewers to see familiar places anew—with patience, reverence, and a deep sense of place.
