Join us this First Friday as we welcome featured artist Celeste A. Blair, a lifelong artist and creative professional whose work celebrates the beauty, light, and atmosphere of the natural world.

A fine art painter, illustrator, and graphic designer with Blair Design Studio, Celeste has spent decades developing a creative practice that bridges fine art and design. Working primarily in acrylic, watercolor, and pastel, she draws inspiration from nature and her experiences as an avid sailor, with water and the changing character of the landscape frequently influencing her paintings.

While much of Celeste’s work is created in the studio, plein air painting gives her an opportunity to slow down, observe the world around her, and interpret it through her own artistic perspective. Her paintings explore color, light, composition, and a sense of place, with influences from tonalism, luminism, and impressionism.

Celeste began painting as a young teenager and was soon exhibiting in juried shows and community art events. She continued her formal studies at Paier College of Art from 1974–1978, earning a degree in fine art and illustration. Her work has since been exhibited throughout the region and beyond, earning numerous honors across a creative career spanning more than five decades.

For Celeste, creating art remains a lifelong process of learning, observing, experimenting, and interpreting what the eye sees and the imagination creates.

Come meet the artist, experience her work, and enjoy an evening celebrating art and creativity.
