Continuous and Contiguous. Paintings by Valerie Berner and Vicki McArdle. Valerie Berner reflects upon her paintings:“In finished form, my artwork presents itself as balanced, sincere, and evocative. It invites viewers to take the time to engage – to wonder and wander with the imagery. Rather than imposing a specific concept or agenda onto an audience, my compositions instead offer a starting point for many perspectives.”Vicki McArdle says of her work:“As the years go by, my desire to create art only grows stronger. I love to express myself through intuitive painting with a focus on color, shape and line. I gather inspiration from nature, with consistent floral, tree, bird and galaxy motifs in my work.” Opening Reception Friday, May 4th with a reading by Alicia Hoffman, author of Railroad Phoenix and Like Stardust In The Peat Moss.
