1938 Pictograms, an exhibition of original letters
Colleen Buzzard Studio
Anderson Arts Building, 250 N Goodman St., #401
Mar 6, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Featuring dozens of charming letters covered in drawings sent by Raymond Petrie, a practicing dentist in Johnstown, NY to his daughter in Phelps, NY in 1938 and ’39. This exhibition presents a rare opportunity to see these letters which were collected and passed down to Petrie’s great granddaughter, Deb Loveys.

These letters paint an intimate portrait of life in a small town almost 90 years ago and show a deeply personal way of staying connected.

This exhibition continues through April 18.
