Brilliance by Melissa Skyer
Dyer Arts Center
52 Lomb Memorial Dr.
Mar 1, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Brilliance reveals the diverse realm of Melissa Skyer, an artist and scientist whose life mirrored the wetlands she both explored and safeguarded. Much like the dynamic ecosystems she immersed herself in, Melissa inhabited ‘junctures and instances,’ coalescing emotion with environment. Her work mirrors her unique approach to constructing meaning through fragmentation and arrangement, much like the intricate formation of her mosaics. This exhibition serves as a homage to Melissa, a guiding force encouraging us to probe into the in-between spaces and moments, where life thrives in its full complexity and beauty.

On view: March 1, 2024 through May 17, 2024 in the Ohringer Gallery, 2nd floor of the Dyer Arts Center
