March Highlighted Artists: Ana Hogan and Richard Sassone

Ana Hogan: Ana Hogan is known for her unique approach to visual arts. Her work often features vibrant colors and expressive forms, reflecting the diverse cultural influences of the region. Ana’s creative process is inspired by the natural landscapes of upstate New York, as well as the city’s rich history in art and innovation. Ana’s artwork is characterized by dynamic compositions that explore the interplay between movement and stillness. Drawing inspiration from her cultural roots, she often incorporates motifs and techniques reflective of her heritage, creating pieces that resonate with both tradition and innovation. Hogan’s artistic view on energy is evident in her use of vibrant colors and fluid forms, symbolizing the continuous flow and transformation found in nature and human experience. Her cultural background informs her approach, blending influences from her community with contemporary artistic practices. Hogan sees energy as a fundamental force that connects all living things, and she strives to express this interconnectedness in her work through layered textures and rhythmic patterns. Each piece invites viewers to contemplate the invisible forces that shape our world, making her art both visually engaging and conceptually profound. She has exhibited her pieces in various local galleries and community events, contributing to the strong art scene of Rochester.

Richard Sassone: Rich believes that “the deeper message in his art asks the observer to discover and awaken the hidden child of wonder and awe in themselves. This magical journey comes alive when Mr. Sassone manifests his ideas into form with this in mind. He believes in pushing the limits of creativity by challenging his own inner visions of creativity through the development of new artistic skills and new technologies to make his artwork more visually appealing and beautiful.” His website is sassoneart.com and he is currently showing “Mona Lisa discovers THC” at Wicked Reserve Dispensary.
