COASTAL LANDSCAPES by mixed media artist Ann Langkopf is on exhibit for this month’s Artist Spotlight.
From the artist:
“My art work reflects time in Rochester, Hope Sound, Florida and several places along the east coast.
I graduated from RIT with a BFA in Art and an MST in teaching. My career was spent teaching K-6 in the Rochester City School District. During that time I illustrated a short story published by JP Lippencott. My art was juried into the Finger Lakes show and was sold at the Fine Arts & Crafts show at the Rochester Museum and Science Center, Hungerford Building and currently at Studio 312 at the Anderson Arts Building. Art is an integral part of my life that has always brought me a special feeling of fulfillment, both in creating and teaching. From a very young age I learned to develop that artist’s eye that allows you to see things in a special and unique way. My goal in teaching art was to share that with my students. I felt that by giving that gift of seeing and creating art perhaps a love and understanding of art would stay with them throughout their lives. As an artist and educator, I believe that learning is lifelong. I look forward to many years of working in various art forms while learning and sharing what I see and create with others.”
