“Whenever you think, ‘I don’t know something,’ you are very flexible. When you think, ‘I know,’ you become rigid. This is not just in attitude, this rigidity just percolates into every aspect of your life and this rigidity is the cause of an enormous amount of suffering in the world.” ~Sadhguru

Numvmnt is re-emerging back into the Rochester Art Scene after over a year of Pandemic hiatus by bringing back First Friday Citywide Gallery Night. This exhibit titled “Don’t Know” by local artist Kurt Ketchum, continues a sincere dialogue between a peaceful warrior and everything that is. Creative discipline attempts to shape a cohesive response to the vast field of information as it presents itself. Personal aesthetic structured by a limited understanding of the beautiful math and language that allow everything to exist.

In addition to the viewing of his vast array of works, there will be a live performance by local singer / songwriter Edna Munda and her dance team, as well as refreshments provided by Just Juice 4 Life. The performance will take place at 7:30pm and artist Kurt Ketchum will be in attendance to discuss his work and to answer questions.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Merging graphic design essentials with multiple mediums to inspire a fluid visual language – manipulated to traverse many platforms – giving voice to meaningful continuity and a sense of wonder. In his own words Ketchum explains, first admitting the whole point of the work is that words cannot capture the spirit then goes on to say…”The work is ultimately a dialog. As it unfolds, more is revealed. As it is revealed, more unfolds. Intuitively communicating. Past. Present. Future. Onward.”
