Game Jam and Handmade Film Workshop Showcase

Throughout the spring, VSW hosted a multi-session Handmade Film workshop as well as three in-person game jams centered around free and accessible game-making tools (Flickgame, Ren’Py, and Bitsy). The game jams were an inclusive way for local and regional game makers, artists, storytellers, and hobbyists of all skill levels to meet up, support each other, and encourage the creative process.

On First Friday, VSW will have a public showcase of work made in these workshops, including playable artists’ games, 16mm films, and handmade 35mm slides.

Peer Bode: Signal into Memory, VSW’s current exhibition, will also be open to the public free of charge.
