Sanctuary: Borders & Belonging in 2026
Rochester Contemporary Art Center
137 East Ave.
Nov 6, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us this First Friday for Sanctuary: Borders & Belonging in 2026. Featuring work by over 100 artists and community members, this exhibition aims to amplify immigrant voices, document criminalization and detention, examine border politics and architecture, and give impacted people space to share diverse immigration stories.

Sanctuary includes Community Interview Project: The Immigrant Experience, featuring nearly 100 first-person immigration stories shared by our neighbors and community members. These interviews will never be posted online or shared anywhere other than in this exhibition. Don’t miss these important stories, on view through November 14 only.
