Prompt
Isolation – Introversion – Hibernation – Seasonal Affective Disorder – Social anxiety – The urge to hide – to hunker down – The cold – The snow – The lonely days of winter – The longest nights
and the things we make while we rest.

Join The Yards Artists Collective and Hungwell Art Services at the Yards Gallery this First Friday March 3rd as we usher in spring together by putting up and putting away the winter.

Curated by Yards Director Kristina Kaiser, Hungwell Art Services Matt Vanderlee and founder of Vayo Collage Gallery Celia Crane, THAWW features forty artists at different stages of their careers speaking to the above prompt.

This is an interactive show. We have created three awards for this show valued at $100 a piece and you are the jury! Please consider The George Parrino Award for Excellence in Craft, The Tom Van Buren Award for Creativity and The Miriam Castillo Award for Vibes. We are asking that attendees use their SMART enabled device to vote on the works that speak to them most in these three categories.

Join us this Friday from 6-9pm for the opening of THAWW at The Yards Artist Collective. The exhibit is on display through March 11th.
