William Snyder: Picturing The Who
RIT City Art Space
280 E Main St., 1st Floor
Feb 3, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Capturing a performance by this legendary group is no easy task, but it’s something that four-time Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer William Snyder has been doing since 1981. Focusing on a recent concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles in May 2016, this exhibition further immortalizes The Who’s long career as rock and roll legends. Using both remote triggers and handheld cameras, Snyder has developed a portfolio of images that highlight all aspects of the concert from sound check to afterparty. In addition, video and ephemera will be displayed that add to the aura surrounding a massive multimedia production — a concert by The Who.
