First Friday is a monthly citywide gallery night that encourages collaboration between small & mid-sized art venues in Rochester, NY. This initiative showcases area artists and smaller arts institutions by promoting the First Friday evening of each month as a community night for experiencing art.
Hours:
We’re currently working to expand a regional, coordinated strategy to benefit all venues and allow greater participation in First Fridays. Suburban venues are open early, from 4-8pm, while venues in the City of Rochester are open after 6pm. First Friday visitors planning their routes are encouraged to start at these suburban venues, then make their way into the city for later events.
